I just got home after watching Clash of the Titans, the remake of the 1981 classic directed by Desmond Davis and Special effects genius Ray Harryhausen.
The film suffers from all those virtues in which stresses its predecessor. Yes, some I can say "the original is bad, the special effects are cheesy and has aged very badly." And in part I will give the reason, it has aged badly, that's all.
The Clash of the Titans in 1981 was an adventure film, pure escapism and mongrelized the original myth of Perseus and Medusa. But a film where the sense of wonder and magic of cinema transgressed the l &to emotion. How do you intend to do that to people like a movie that does not transmit anything? Not in the least.
The performances are generally quite poor. Consider the protagonist, Sam Worthington has already taken his place as the world's most overrated actor. Your gallery is so limited gestures do not know when he is angry or determined, sad or thoughtful. Well, the gesture is not everything some will think. John Wayne was not gesticulador but he had charisma. When you see the film will see that if the good of Sam polish it in the first quarter of an hour and ownership passed to Draco, prideBear soldier played by Mads Mikkelssen Argos, the movie does not lose but gain in charisma and poise on camera. Mikkelsen's interpretation, without being spectacular, is the best movie in which even tinsel stars like Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes go unnoticed.
And no sense of wonder, without the magic of cinema and not that we have interesting interpretations. For the fireworks, gold attracts magpies where they want to become. Those that do not ask and pay the entry religiously. Special effects, in short. But of course when a man made tree that seems to ba waste
